I’m a graduate and ambassador for The Institute for Integrative Nutrition and highly recommend this school to anyone looking for nutrition information or to become a Certified Health Coach. They are the world’s top school for health coaching and have many successful graduates! I like that the program is available online to work at your own pace, with modules released weekly. There’s so much to learn from nutrition, food politics, mindfulness, fitness, relationships, coaching skills and business knowledge. The guest teachers are experts in their field, so you’re getting high quality information.
I struggled for most of my life with Hashimoto’s Autoimmune Thyroid and gut issues without getting much help from conventional medicine. It became my mission to adopt a holistic approach that centered around nutrition, which was when I finally began to see positive results! I wanted to expand on my nutrition knowledge and enrolled at IIN. Over the course of the school year I experimented with different diets and practiced my coaching skills. I saw improvement in my thyroid levels, reduced my medication dosage and eliminated SIBO and Candida overgrowth – issues that were addressed with my knowledge from IIN and working with a Naturopathic Doctor.
With my experience of living with autoimmune disease and struggling in the conventional medicine world, I realized how important it is to bring nutrition and holistic health to those who are dealing with chronic illness and digestive issues. I created Mindful Thyroid – Create Your Healthy Life Blog & Health Coaching Program to educate, inspire and nourish other women with thyroid disease.
