I highly recommend anyone with thyroid issues take a Vitamin D supplement. Look for Vitamin D3, this is the active form that’s more absorbable. There are few sources of vitamin D in food – mainly fish and eggs. So if you’re not getting in the sun enough or have unexplained fatigue/low energy a vitamin D pill may help.
It can take several months to raise levels of this vitamin, so test your vitamin D level after 4-5 months on a supplement.
