Lemon Crush

Sweet lemon and greens juice.   

This is great for in the morning to help stimulate stomach acid to digest your breakfast better. It’s full of folate from the lemon and magnesium and calcium from the green swiss chard. It tastes like a healthy version of lemonade with no added sugar, of course! You can drink this any time of day, but it really wakes you up in the morning!

You can make this with a masticating juicer, like the Koios Juicer, or use your blender and then strain out the pulp and save the juice. Masticating juicers cold press the fruits and vegetables preserving more nutrients than a centrifugal juicer and you’ll get more juice than from a blender & strainer.  Keep your juice in an airtight glass bottle for up to 3 days.

Ingredients

  • 1 organic lemon
  • 1 organic large cucumber
  • 2 organic Gala apples
  • 1 bunch organic green swiss chard

Instructions

Wash the produce. Remove the core from the apple. Cut into sections to fit into the chute. Cut cucumber and lemon to fit into the chute. Remove swiss chard from the stem (discard stem).

Slowly add each item into the chute of your juicer.

Store fresh juice in an airtight glass container for up to 3 days. Be sure to fill it as full as possible to avoid any excess oxygen. Shake well before drinking.
